The distributed fault‑location system for distribution networks, developed by Shanghai Siliang Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., addresses key industry challenges: insufficient accuracy in zero-sequence current synthesis, which leads to frequent false alarms for ground faults, and the high failure rate of conventional pole‑mounted aggregation units. The system is suitable for distribution lines operating at 35 kV and below. It employs the principle of fault‑traveling wave propagation to achieve precise fault location: when a fault occurs on a distribution line, traveling waves are generated and propagate toward both ends. By monitoring and acquiring fault signals and analyzing the time difference between the arrival of these traveling waves at the device, the system can accurately pinpoint the fault location.
AI-Powered Panoramic Dynamic Capacity Enhancement System for Transmission Lines
