Cable accessories are complementary connectors for power cable lines, categorized into two main types: terminations and splices. They are suitable for cables ranging from 1 kV low voltage to 35 kV and higher voltages. Their core functions include sealing and insulating the cut ends of cables, enabling connections between cables and switchgear or transformers, as well as joining two cable sections; they also provide waterproofing and moisture resistance, buffer electric fields, and withstand operating voltages and mechanical tensile forces. The primary materials used are silicone rubber, heat-shrinkable plastics, and pre‑molded rubber components. These accessories are widely employed in power grids, photovoltaic systems, rail transit, and industrial and mining distribution networks, serving as indispensable components for ensuring the safe and reliable transmission of electrical power.
