Solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is a power generation device that directly converts the chemical energy of fuel into electrical energy through high-temperature electrochemical reactions, without undergoing a combustion process, and represents the most efficient power generation technology currently available in the world. An SOFC adopts a distributed combined heat and power (CHP) system, which allows flexible and rapid deployment. Its direct current (DC) power generation efficiency can reach 65%, and its CHP efficiency can reach 85%. An SOFC has a wide range of fuel sources, achieves higher power generation efficiency than conventional generators, produces emissions virtually free of nitrogen compounds and sulfides, generates no noise pollution, and is environmentally friendly. An SOFC can be applied in various scenarios, including commercial complexes, industrial parks, data and computing centers, LNG terminals, biomass gas and tail gas reuse, ships, and grid peak load regulation.
