Hunan Electric Research Institute Testing Group Co., Ltd. , a holding subsidiary of Hunan Ordnance Industry Group Co., Ltd., was founded in 1964 and has a history of more than 60 years of electrical testing. Headquartered in Changsha City, Hunan Province, the testing base is located in Xiangxiang City, Hunan Province, which is a "one-stop" third-party testing organisation for intelligent high and low voltage equipment and new energy electrical appliances in the central and southern regions.

Low-voltage Assemblies testing: low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies, distribution box, low-voltage cable branch box, bus duct, intelligent assemblies, low-voltage reactive power compensation device, low-voltage metering box, etc.;
Low-voltage component testing: moulded case circuit breaker, frame circuit breaker, residual current protection circuit breaker, isolation switch, contactor, relay, transfer switch electrical appliance, equipment circuit breaker, terminal strip, miniature circuit breaker, RCCB, RCBO, PRCD, low-voltage fuse, etc.;
International certification testing: CB certification testing, ASTA certification testing, CSA certification testing, UL certification testing.
High voltage electrical testing(short circuit capacity: 40.5kV/16kA, 24kV/25kA, 12kV/50kA; 40.5kV and below 1250A capacitive current opening and closing test, active load opening and closing test, etc.)
High-voltage Assemblies testing: 3.6kV~40.5kV armored removable AC metal-enclosed switchgear, box-type fixed AC metal-enclosed ring switchgear, fully insulated and fully sealed metal-enclosed ring switchgear, GIS, cable distribution box, opening and closing station, etc.;
High-voltage component testing: 3.6kV~40.5kV high-voltage AC circuit breaker, high-voltage AC isolation switch and grounding switch, high-voltage AC load switch, high-voltage AC load switch-fuse combination appliance, 3.6kV~24kV high-voltage AC contactor, etc.

Dry-type transformers, oil-immersed transformers, transformers, reactors, high-voltage/low-voltage prefabricated substations, combined transformers and transformer energy efficiency assessment, etc..
Reliability & EMC Testing
Military-civilian fusion EMC detection: with 10 metres of anechoic chamber, one turntable with a diameter of 5 meters and a load-bearing capacity of 5 tons, and another turntable with a diameter of 2 meters and a load-bearing capacity of 1 ton. It has the ability to test RE, CE, DP, RS, CS, ESD, CSM, H&F and transient immunity, and meets the requirements of civilian EMC testing with a field strength of up to 6GHz, a field strength of 10V/m, and a distance of 3m. It can also meet the EMC testing requirements of military products with a field strength of up to 18GHz, a field strength of 50V/m, and a ranging of 1m. This laboratory meets the EMC testing requirements of new energy equipment with an AC voltage of 690V/100A and below and a DC voltage of 1000V/200A and below.
Environmental test: high temperature test, low temperature test, damp heat test, salt spray test, vibration and shock test.
Material test: fire test, ball pressure test, leakage tracking test, metal material analysis, etc.

Preventive test and handover test of 110kV and below substation, installation, repair and test of power supply and distribution facilities, safety inspection of power supply and distribution equipment, electrical grounding lightning protection detection, on-site test of charging piles and photovoltaic power stations, pre-assessment of power quality and power quality testing of new projects, and regular testing of power insulation tools.
New energy electrical appliances testing (DC short circuit capacity: DC1800V/50kA/1s, DC460V/120kA/1s; Charging pile characteristics test: DC1150V/300A, AC380V/63A; Mobile analog load: DC60kW, single-phase AC18kW, three-phase AC48kW; Simulated load in the laboratory: 400kW)
