EP Shanghai 2025: New Zones and Upgrades Driving Industry Transformation

The 32nd China International Electric Power Equipment and Technology Exhibition (EP Shanghai 2025) and the Shanghai International Energy Storage Technology Application Expo (ES Shanghai 2025) will be held from November 18–20, 2025, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. Organized by the China Electricity Council, State Grid Corporation of China, and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd, the event will span 86,000 sqm, host over 2,000 exhibitors, and welcome more than 70,000 professional visitors.

1. Three New Key Zones: Empowering Transformation

1.1 Power Sector Industrial Robot Zone: Breakthroughs in Smart Inspection
For the first time, the exhibition will feature a dedicated Electric Power Robot Zone, showcasing cutting-edge innovations such as inspection robots, drones, and live-line operation robots. Notable companies like Unitree, Lenovo, DeepRobotics, and Seling Robotics will demonstrate solutions for fault detection, diagnosis in high-voltage environments, substation inspections, and grid tunnel surveys.

The 2025 National Power Inspection Robot Summit Forum, co-hosted with the China Mechatronics Association, will explore the industry’s transformation from manual labor to AI-driven operations.

Unitree Robotics: Showcasing quadruped robots for smart power inspections, enhancing safety and efficiency in construction and maintenance.

DeepRobotics: Presenting intelligent power solutions to modernize energy inspection and maintenance.

Lenovo: Featuring the Morningstar Robot, which integrates AI and IoT for automated inspections, fault detection, and emergency response.

1.2 Hydrogen Energy Zone: Building a Green Energy Matrix
Aligned with China’s “dual-carbon” goals, hydrogen is emerging as a core clean energy source. The Hydrogen Zone will cover production, storage, and application technologies, with highlights including electrolytic hydrogen production systems, liquid-hydrogen storage tanks, and hydrogen refueling stations. Renowned brands like Shunhua, Compress, Yoshi Energy, and YWE will showcase their latest innovations. The zone will also feature a Hydrogen-Electric Standards Forum, led by the CEC Hydrogen Energy Committee, focus on policy and market trends.

Shenzhen Energy Group Co., Ltd.
Exhibit: Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia
Technical Highlights:
• The Ordos project is one of Inner Mongolia’s first wind and solar hydrogen demonstration sites, uses solar-powered alkaline electrolysis to produce 99.999% pure hydrogen.
• Zero-emission green hydrogen is suitable for labs, manufacturing, and energy industries.

Shanghai Shunhua New Energy Systems Co., Ltd.
Exhibit: 35 MPa High-Pressure Hydrogen Cylinder Valve for Vehicles
Technical Highlights:
• High-pressure hydrogen valve (35 MPa or 70 MPa) with 12V/24V versions.
• Durable, leak-proof construction that meets strict international safety standards.

1.3 Transformer Zone: Performance Upgrades
With global electricity demand steadily rising, the transformer market is expanding rapidly, driven by the growth of smart grids and the integration of renewable energy. By 2025, the global transformer market is projected to exceed $80 billion, with Asia leading this growth. The Transformer Zone at EP Shanghai 2025 will showcase high-voltage and ultra-high-voltage transformers, green solutions, advanced material and key components.

Exhibits: SGBH19 Series Open-Type Amorphous Alloy Dry-Type Transformer
Technical Highlights:
• Over 30 years of experience in power transmission and energy solutions.
• Exports to more than 150 countries with innovative transformer designs.
• Products include transformers up to 330kV, dry-type and oil-immersed transformers, and specialized units for storage, rail, and marine applications.

CSG Smart Science & Technology Co., Ltd.
Exhibits: Automated Production Lines for Transformers Oil-Immersed and Dry-Type Transformers
Technical Highlights:
• Includes automated winding, assembly, testing, and smart logistics systems for large dry-type transformers.
• The solution also features final assembly for large dry-type transformers, raw material storage for box transformers, and a smart factory logistics scheduling system.
• Key components include four-way shuttle storage, AGV intelligent delivery, coil pressing lines, body assembly lines, vacuum oil filling with automated logistics, robotic oil tank welding, and integrated smart logistics management for the entire plant.

2. Enhanced Buyer Promotion and Services

Connecting Industry Needs with Latest Solutions
EP Shanghai 2025 has enhanced its buyer outreach efforts, focusing on high energy-consuming industries such as power, rail transit, data centers, petrochemicals, and industrial parks. By working closely with industry associations and leading enterprises, EP has specially invited groups of energy-consumption end users to visit the event. Tailored visit routes and targeted invitations will ensure that major electricity consumers can efficiently connect with exhibitors offering the latest power equipment, energy storage systems, and smart solutions.
