EP Shanghai 2023 Concluded Successfully With Nearly 50,000 Professional Visitors

Organized by China Electricity Council and State Grid Corporation of China, co-organized by Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd., “The 31st International Exhibition on Electric Power Equipment and Technology (EP Shanghai 2023)”, “2023 Shanghai International Energy Storage Technology Application Expo (ES Shanghai 2023)”, “International Data Center & Cloud Computing Industry Expo 2023” and “International Intelligent Building & Green Technology Expo 2023” concluded successfully from 15-17 November at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, PR China.

The 3-day exhibition attracted more than 1,400 companies and brands, including local exhibitors as well as participants from Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and the United States, with a total exhibition area of 61,500 square meters. Serving as a one-stop trade platform for the industry, EP Shanghai welcomed over 49,000 professional visitors, including more than 300 professional delegations. In addition to the local audience, the exhibition drew visitors from countries and regions such as Russia, Belarus, Mexico, Indonesia, Pakistan and China Taiwan, accounting for 8.6% of the total number of attendees, representing a wide geographic coverage. EP Shanghai has become a global event in the power industry, providing exhibitors and visitors with extensive opportunities for communication and business cooperation.

This year exhibition adopted a dual-track approach with both online and offline activities. Over 50 online livestreams were conducted, covering exhibitor interviews, concurrent conferences, and New Product Gallery, attracting over 100,000 views. In addition, four related exhibitions concurrently held this year attracted more end-users from fields such as data centers and intelligent building, bringing greater benefits to exhibitors and professional visitors. This exhibition has provided a broad platform for cooperation and communication within the industry, promoting the development of the power sector.

The preeminent brands and manufacturers in the industry comprehensively showcased new products and technologies at EP Shanghai. From procurement of equipment to technical innovation and exchange, the exhibition provided domestic and foreign power companies, power grid companies, power engineering, equipment companies, power design institutes as well as construction, petrochemical, rail transportation, steel and shipbuilding and other industrial users a one-stop platform to acquire the latest market information, explore new products and technologies, and business cooperation.

The onsite atmosphere was enthusiasm and the organizer has received a lot of positive feedbacks from the visitor survey. More than 90% of the visitors were very satisfied or satisfied with the quality of the exhibitors and exhibits while more than 95% of them rated the quality of the exhibitors as very good or good. The result fully embodies the high quality of the exhibition. The exhibitors fully showcased their professional expertise and innovative capabilities, providing participants with a satisfactory experience and valuable business opportunities.

The MVP Program played a key role
EP Shanghai dedicated professional business matching service, the MVP team actively listened to the goals and needs of the clients, successfully facilitating the connection between the Russian buyer group and exhibitors. They carefully selected suitable product suppliers and assisted both parties in reaching cooperation agreements. The success of this matching service showcased the pivotal role of the MVP team in the exhibition, bridging the gap between buyers and exhibitors and achieving the goal of business matching.

The annual power industry event received strong support from all sectors
EP Shanghai featured five theme zones, including “One Stop Power Transmission and Distribution”, “Electric Power Automation”,” Intelligent Manufacturing”, and two new dedicated zones, "Smart Energy" &" Energy Storage/ New Energy", cover various aspects of the energy and power industry, including smart grids, new energy, solar energy storage, micro-grids, energy storage, and 5G. They facilitated effective communication and connection between exhibitors and their target customers, promoting innovation and development in the power industry and fostering collaboration for "upgrading, transformation, and integration" within the industry.
Exhibitors such as State Grid Corporation, Southern Power Grid, ABB, Siemens, Changyuan, Schneider, TBEA, Chint, Daqo Group, Acrel, Murge, People Electric, Shandong Electrical Engineering, Xian XD Switchgear, XJ Group, Pinggao Group, Xiamen Hiprecise, The China Electronic Cowan Science and Technology，Mantunsci Science and Technology, Dadong Technology, Woer Heat-shrinkable Material, Emerson, Staubli, Minghan Electric, ABBSEN, and others provided visitors with a comprehensive range of equipment and technologies covering the entire power and energy storage industry chain, from upstream to downstream. Additionally, pavilions from the United States, Germany, and Yueqing showcased a diverse range of internationally-oriented equipment and technologies for the visiting buyers.

EP Shanghai, together with Shanghai International Energy Storage Technology Application Expo (ES Shanghai 2023)”, “International Data Center & Cloud Computing Industry Expo 2023” and “International Intelligent Building & Green Technology Expo 2023” were held concurrently, forming a collaborative alliance of four exhibitions and maximize the synergy effects. ES Shanghai brought together the most powerful energy storage users, including power generation, power grid, data centers, telecommunications, and commercial and industrial sectors. Additionally, it attracted professional resources from the data center, architectural engineering, and design industries, creating a strong lineup of exhibitors and a professional audience.

The exhibition successfully organized 300 professional delegations, domestic associations including Ningbo Electrical Equipment Industry Association, Hunan Province Electric Power Engineering Enterprise Association, Jiangsu Electrical Equipment Industrial Association, Jiangsu Province Electric Power Engineering Association; Power Companies in different province including State Grid Weinan Electric Power Supply Company, State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company, Yunnan Power Grid Co., Ltd ; Industrial design institutes including Haisum Design Institute, Shanghai Urban Construction Design Institute, ECADI, East China Electric Power Design Institute, Shanghai Construction Group; Large-scale end-user companies including Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, China Railway Electrification Engineering Group, China Railway Shanghai Design Institute, Baosteel Engineering & Technology, HuanQiu Contracting & Engineering, Sinopec; Major complete equipment enterprises including Siemens, Schneider, Eaton, AEG, Chint, Pinggao, and their procurement departments, technical departments, and engineering departments; Overseas delegations were from Russia, Belarus, Mexico, China Taiwan, Indonesia, Pakistan, etc., provided targeted business negotiation opportunities for exhibitors.

Industry Experts Gathered at the 50+ Concurrent Conference and events
Over 50 concurrent events were hosted in EP Shanghai, covering industry conference, technical forums and new product galleries. The themes included the New Energy Storage Forum, Rail Transit Power Supply and Distribution, New Power Digitalization, Industrial Internet of Things, and Low-Carbon Data EPC Integration. Corresponding specialized exhibition areas were established to provide industry decision-makers and professionals with a platform for in-depth and multi-dimensional communication and interaction. This facilitated a deep understanding of the latest trends and cutting-edge technologies in the power industry, promoting collaboration and innovation within the industry.

There is a New Product Gallery in Hall N4 where participating companies introduce their latest released products. This includes renowned enterprises such as CYG, Acrel, Schneider, Yantai Fisend, CET Electric, Hager Electric, Xian XD Switchgear Electric, and People Electric. They showcased innovative products and technological achievements, presenting the cutting-edge technology and development trends in the power industry to the audience.

The 32nd International Exhibition on Electric Power Equipment and Technology (EP Shanghai 2024) scheduled for December 5th to 7th, 2024, will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.
