Intelligent Production Line for Gas-Insulated Switchgear

Covering four major smart production lines—sheet metal fabrication, welding, ring main unit assembly and inspection, and primary–secondary assembly—the facility is equipped with AGV/RGV automated logistics systems and an MES/WMS intelligent control center. Robots perform tasks such as gas‑box sealing and welding, as well as polishing and grinding, while a vision‑based sensing system enables real-time inspection of welds and dimensions. Combined with pneumatic leak testing and partial discharge withstand voltage testing, this ensures a closed-loop quality management system across the entire process. With a cycle time of 10 minutes per cabinet, annual capacity reaches 13,000 units. The solution supports both mass‑production and customized manufacturing of power distribution switchgear and ring main units, enabling human–robot collaborative assembly and full‑lifecycle data traceability, thereby driving the digital transformation of power‑equipment manufacturing.
