Knife switch
Knife switches have a simple structure and provide a visible break; they are typically used only for no‑load isolation of power supplies, without short‑circuit protection. Composite isolating switches feature an integrated insulating housing and excellent arc‑extinguishing performance, making them suitable for frequent no‑load operations while ensuring safe electrical isolation. Knife‑fuse switches combine a knife switch with a fuse, offering both isolation and short‑circuit protection. Isolator‑fuse assemblies are modular devices: the isolator provides a clearly visible disconnect point, while the fuse handles overload and short‑circuit protection. These four product types are widely employed in low‑voltage distribution systems as isolation and protection components for incoming lines and branch circuits.
Isolator-fuse assembly
The disconnect switch–fuse assembly is a commonly used combination device in low-voltage distribution systems. The disconnect switch provides a clearly visible break, ensuring safe maintenance; the fuse handles short-circuit and overload protection. The product features excellent arc-extinguishing performance and permits only no‑load make-and-break operations. With a compact structure, convenient installation, and a high safety rating, it is widely employed in distribution cabinets and at the incoming terminals of power circuits. In the event of a fault, the fuse melts to interrupt the circuit, while the isolation function remains independent and reliable, making it an ideal protective and isolating device for branch circuits in industrial, mining, and construction applications.
Load disconnect switch
The load‑isolating switch is a new type of low‑voltage isolation device featuring an integrated insulated housing and clearly visible disconnection points. Its arc‑extinguishing design has been optimized, delivering excellent insulation performance. It is primarily used to isolate power supplies in unloaded distribution circuits, providing a safe disconnecting point for equipment maintenance. The product exhibits strong resistance to high temperatures and aging, with a compact structure and convenient installation and operation. It is intended only for making and breaking circuits under no‑load conditions and does not provide overload or short‑circuit protection; therefore, it is typically used in conjunction with fuses or circuit breakers. It is widely employed in high‑ and low‑voltage switchgear, new‑energy systems, and industrial power distribution networks.
