The online monitoring system for sulfur hexafluoride gas leakage transmits real-time measurements of sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), oxygen (O2), and temperature and humidity from the field to the DCS via an RS‑485 bus. When the measured values exceed the preset alarm thresholds, the system activates audible and visual alarms or initiates ventilation equipment. Additionally, the human infrared detection function automatically starts the exhaust fan upon sensing a presence; after a predetermined ventilation period—adjustable in the fan settings—the personnel may enter the work area, thereby ensuring safe production on site.
