TRANSPOSED CONDUCTORS

Transposed conductors are winding wires made by continuously braiding a specific number of enameled rectangular wires in two rows using a special process and then wrapping them with a specific insulating material. They are primarily used in the windings of large oil-immersed power transformers, reactors, and high-capacity dry-type transformers. Transposed conductors improve winding space utilization, reduce volume, and lower costs. More importantly, they reduce circulating current losses and eddy current losses caused by leakage fields. They also enhance the winding's mechanical strength and reduce winding time. Continuously transposed conductors are a key material for transformer windings, offering advantages such as high space utilization, low eddy current losses, high mechanical strength, and reduced coil winding time.

Glass fiber film covered copper (aluminum) rectangular wire is manufactured by first wrapping a film around a high-quality copper (aluminum) conductor, then wrapping glass fibers around it, followed by impregnation with a bonding varnish of the required temperature resistance index, and finally baking. This process ensures that the glass fibers, the glass fibers and the film, as well as the conductor,are all bonded into a single integral unit.
