Plansee (Shanghai) Performance Materials Co., Ltd. is the production site of the Plansee Performance Materials Austria Group in Shanghai. Plansee's Shanghai plant specializes in the production of refractory metals, alloys and composites.
In 2013, Plansee Shanghai introduced the advanced CuCr and WCu contact production technology and experience from the Switzerland plant to serve vacuum and SF6 circuit breaker manufacturers in China and around the world. In order to extend vacuum arc extinguishing technology to the ultra-high pressure sector, Plansee has developed copper-chrome contacts for high-pressure interrupters.
