Composite suspension insulator

Composite insulators employ a non‑destructive, mechanically crimped connection between the hardware and the core rod, which represents the most advanced joining method available worldwide today. Its advantages include: secure and reliable connections, uniform stress distribution, and preservation of the integrity of the core rod's glass‑fiber bundle, thereby fully leveraging its superior tensile strength. Production is carried out using an integral injection‑molding process. The overall structure is compact, with a small footprint and light weight. The shed design is aesthetically pleasing, featuring minimal interfaces; the core rod and sheath are firmly bonded with no gaps, ensuring excellent internal insulation performance and effectively preventing interfacial breakdown.

Suspension insulators are assembled by bonding porcelain components, iron caps, and steel feet using a binder composed of at least F525‑grade silicate cement, porcelain sand, or quartz sand. The contact surfaces between the iron caps and steel feet and the binder are coated with a thin buffer layer. An elastic washer is provided at the top of the steel foot. The porcelain surface is typically glazed with white enamel; brown or blue‑gray glazes may also be applied as required. Both the iron caps and steel feet are fully hot‑dip galvanized. For ball‑type connections, the push‑pull elastic locking pins are available in W‑type and R‑type configurations, both fabricated from copper, offering excellent elasticity and corrosion resistance while facilitating easy assembly and disassembly.
