The Company was originally named "Changzhou Changgong Electronic Instrument Co., Ltd.", established in 1992 as a research-oriented university-affiliated enterprise by Changzhou Institute of Technology. In 1998, foreign investment was introduced, leading to the formation of "Changzhou Taipingyang Automatization Technology Co., Ltd." In May 2008, it was renamed as "Changzhou Pacific Automatization Technology Co., Ltd.", and in June 2012, it was restructured into a joint-stock company.
