This device is installed in parallel on a three-phase four-wire distribution network. It uses a balancing coil to "absorb" zero-sequence current, thereby reducing zero-sequence currents and voltages. At the same time, the balancing coil compensates the absorbed zero-sequence current back into the circuit, balancing the three-phase currents, decreasing the grid‑side current in the heavily loaded phase, increasing the potential difference between the neutral and live conductors for users in the heavily loaded phase, and improving the user's voltage.
