Power Grid Instrument Transformer Asset Tag
The transformer RFID tag carries a unique identification code, enabling end-to-end traceability of the transformer's "production batch, verification body, installation location, and distribution area." By leveraging the tag, it is possible to quickly pinpoint the installation site of a specific batch, thereby addressing the challenges of unclear equipment flow and ambiguous accountability. The sub‑tag serves as the core enabler for digital management of power transformers, designed to meet requirements across the entire lifecycle—covering control, anti‑counterfeiting and traceability, operational efficiency enhancement, and security protection. Depending on project needs, an SM7‑algorithm‑encrypted chip can be employed; data writing and reading require authentication to prevent malicious tampering with parameters such as current ratio and accuracy class. Combined with physical anti‑counterfeiting features—such as a tamper‑evident layer—the system triggers an alert upon any breach.
RFID Tag (ABS) for Physical ID Management of Grid Metering Assets
RFID tags for power grid equipment primarily address the challenges of "dispersed assets and difficult manual inventory" in high-voltage overhead lines. They enable long-range, batch identification via drones or vehicle-mounted systems, establishing a digital asset ledger for distribution‑network equipment and replacing traditional non‑RF‑enabled nameplates. This solution also resolves the issues of "low‑efficiency manual data entry and frequent information loss." By linking device‑related lifecycle data—such as manufacturer, commissioning date, and maintenance records—it supports end‑to‑end traceability of transmission towers and UHV equipment throughout their entire service life, from construction to decommissioning.
Electric meter RFID tag
RFID tags for electricity meters serve as the core enablers of digital management for electricity meters and other power‑metering devices, primarily supporting full‑lifecycle asset management, metrological traceability, operational efficiency improvements, and anti‑counterfeiting security. Acting as the "electronic ID" of the meter, these tags carry a unique identification code—such as the EPC code in RFID tags or an asset number on printed labels—and link to critical data throughout the meter's entire lifecycle, from manufacturing and warehousing through transportation, installation, operation and maintenance, to decommissioning. They also associate the meter with its model, manufacturer, verification cycle, installation location, and other relevant attributes, establishing a digital ledger based on a "one‑item‑one‑code" principle that enables precise asset tracking and real‑time updates.
