Robot for Live-Working Coating of Insulating Materials on Overhead Bare Conductors in Distribution Networks
The live‑line coating robot for overhead bare conductors in distribution networks can apply insulating coatings to bare distribution lines, mitigating insulation hazards such as tree contact, crossing structures, nearby buildings, and external mechanical short circuits, thereby enhancing the reliability of power supply. The system comprises two main components: a lightweight polymeric insulating material and a robotic coating unit. The coating robot is capable of performing live‑line operations, automatically ascending and descending along the conductor, and operating via remote control, eliminating the need for pole climbing or insulated bucket trucks. It is particularly well suited to the unique working conditions found in distribution networks—such as muddy terrain, paddy fields, mountainous areas, and spaces around residential buildings. The lightweight polymeric insulating material allows for rapid application and cures at room temperature, yielding excellent insulation performance upon curing.
GuanNeng X7 – AI-Powered Live-Line Connection Robot
Compared with the traditional methods of manual wiring using insulated bucket trucks and live‑line operations with handheld insulating rods, live‑line connection robots offer significant advantages, including eliminating the need for personnel to work at height, overcoming terrain constraints, ensuring safety and efficiency, and delivering precise operation. Moreover, when contrasted with solutions that employ aerial work platforms equipped with dual robotic arms, live‑line connection robots not only maintain a high degree of automation but also achieve lower manufacturing costs and simpler maintenance procedures.
High-Voltage Transmission Line De-icing Robot
Widespread rain, snow, and freezing‑weather conditions have caused rime, glaze, and mixed ice to accumulate on power‑grid lines, triggering galloping and subsequent tripping of numerous transmission and distribution circuits. As the weight of ice continues to build and exceeds the design limits of towers and conductors, it can easily lead to tower collapse, severely compromising the safe and reliable supply of electricity. Conventional de‑icing methods struggle to simultaneously meet the demands for efficiency, safety, and uninterrupted service. Guanneng Technology has unveiled a groundbreaking high‑voltage transmission‑line de‑icing robot that innovatively employs a tracked roller‑type de‑icing technique, enabling live‑line removal of hard ice from both phase and ground conductors in a safe and highly efficient manner.
