“The 13th International Exhibition on Electric Power Equipment and Technology” and “The 6th International Exhibition on Electrical Engineering, Electrical Equipment and Contractors’ Supplies” (also known as EP China / Electrical China 2010) has grandly commenced today (October 19, 2010) at China International Exhibition Center (Hall 1A, 1B, 2 – 5), Beijing, PR China. The 3-day exhibition is held in conjunction with “2010 International Exhibition on Electric Power Automation Equipment and Technology” (also known as EPA 2010). The new theme hall on “Instrumentation and Automation / Energy Saving” as the key highlight of the event, features state-of-art technologies that clings to the major market trend.

The grand opening ceremony held this morning converged honorary guests from the government and the market leaders. They are Mr. Liu Zhen-ya, President and CEO of State Grid Corporation and President of China Electricity Council, Mr. Huang Yu-min, Vice President of State Electricity Regulatory Commission and representatives from the two power grid corporations, major power group corporations, as well as commissioners of worldwide embassies in Beijing.

Stated by Mr. Sun Yu-cai, Executive Vice President of China Electricity Council in his opening speech, the power generation installation capacity of China has exceeded 900 GW up to now, which ranks the world’s second; whereas the world-class power grid technology on ultra high-voltage transmission has been operated in China. Scale of power grid in China is recognized as the largest in the world. EP China is doubtless the most telling witness of the power electric industry boom over the past twenty years. On one hand, it imports the most advanced foreign electric power equipment and technologies for the local market; on the other hand, it accelerates international trade between local and overseas electric power industry players. EP China is dedicated to explore more business opportunity in the electric power industry for the entire world through its endless effort on facilitating the industry players to open up new market, acquire supply-and-demand information, as well as invent new products and technologies.

It is reported that EP China 2010 has smashed its track record over the past editions. The organizers have announced that “The 8th International Exhibition on Electric Power Equipment and Technology” (EP Shanghai 2011) will be held at Shanghai World Expo Theme Pavilion Hall on September 21-23, 2011.
