Organized by China Electricity Council - EP / Electrical Shanghai 2009 will kick off in July
Exhibition scale achieves a remarkable growth despite global economic turbulence |

EP Shanghai 2009 - the 7th International Exhibition on Electric Power Equipment and Technology will be held concurrently with Electrical Shanghai 2009 - the 6th International Exhibition on Electrical Engineering, Electrical Equipment & Contractor's Supplies during 8th - 10th July 2009 at Shanghai International Exhibition Center (Level 1 & 2), PR China. As the largest and the most reputable electric power and electrical trade fair in China, EP has become the only power expo endorsed by UFI Approved Event in China, with full support from major power groups and power grid corporations, and recognized by international industrial associations and leading global suppliers. The fair receives encouraging participation from both overseas and Chinese enterprises. More than 80% past exhibitors have confirmed their participation. The exhibition scale is expected to have over 30% growth.br>
Apart from the participation by well-known loyal exhibitors, many new comers join EP Shanghai 2009 as their first event in China. These exhibitors mainly come from Finland, Norway, and Russia, etc. A full range of world-class advanced power equipment and solutions will be showcased during the fair.
Pentair Group, headquartered in the United States, supplies both custom enclosure solutions and platform-based products for both electronic and electrical applications. Pentair Group's Pentair Technical Products China, as their first time to exhibit in EP, will display their latest series of Outdoor Cabinets, including one of the outdoor cabinets which is devoted to the protection of outdoor electrical equipment - MODO outdoor cabinets.
 Another new exhibitor - Nanjing NARI Group Corporation, is one of the high-tech enterprises set up by State Grid Electric Power Research Institute to further promote the transformation of the results of the research and development into commercial mass production. NARI is mainly engaged in development, manufacture, system integration, and engineering service in power system and its automation, water conservancy & hydroelectric power measuring and control, power system communication and IT engineer, power electronic, industry automation and intellectual power primary equipment. NARI is certified with the Grade-A Qualification for Integration of Computer Information System, and is listed as one of the Key Hi-tech Enterprises of National Torch Program, and the National Technical Center of Enterprise. NARI will introduce a series of power automation technology and high-tech equipment at its more than 100sqm booth at EP Shanghai 2009.
 Hyundai Heavy Industries (China) Electric Co Ltd, built on the success of its last participation, will double up its exhibit area to display a series of high-quality products. Coming from South Korea, Hyundai Heavy Industries has three factories in Jiangsu province: high voltage circuit breaker factory, switchboards factory and medium-low voltage circuit breaker factory. The main products are 72.5 ~ 800kV SF6 Switchgear (GIS), 0.4kV ~ 40.5kV Switchgear, 40.5kV SF6 gas-insulated metal sheathed counter (C-GIS), Marine switchgear and control panel, vacuum circuit breakers (VCB) , air circuit breakers (ACB), molded case circuit breaker contactor (MCCB.DMS), miniature circuit breakers (MCB) and dual-power switching devices, etc.
 MR China Ltd, a 100% subsidiary of Reinhausen Group (MR) Germany, engages in the import and export trading of electrical equipment and electrical components as well as the provision of ancillary services. MR is the innovation leader, technology leader in the tap-changer business and also the No. 1 supplier of on-load tap changer for power transformers in various industrial applications.
 International Sustainable Energy Development Centre (ISEDC) from Russia takes their step to organize a huge official pavilion in EP Shanghai 2009. This official pavilion is fully supported by the Russian Ministry of Energy. Their participation with many Russian companies is going to showcase a wide range of high-quality sustainable energy equipment and leading-edge technologies. ISEDC's mission is to promote international sustainable energy research and active cooperation. Moreover, ISEDC will deliver a presentation in the concurrent forum to share the research report regarding the global sustainable energy with the industry players and trade buyers.

The market leader - ABB has exhibited in EP for many years, will showcase a full range of electrical equipment and products. Line Differential Protection and Control RED615, the new series, have been designed to unleash the full potential of the IEC 61850 standard for communication and interoperability of substation automation equipment. RED615 provide phase-segregated high speed, longitudinal differential protection for overhead line and cable feeders in distribution networks. Protection of ring-type and meshed distribution networks generally requires unit protection solutions, also applied in radial networks containing distributed power generation.
Other new exhibitors include Ashcroft, Alcan, Isopur Fluid Technologies, Continental Industries from the United States; Sicame from France; Brugg Cables from Switzerland; SATS Certification from Norway; Nieaf-Smitt BV from the Netherlands; VAMP OY from Finland; Shinhyo Co from Korea, etc. Moreover, there are a number of domestic enterprises such as China Hengyi Electrical, Wenzhou Haitan Magnetic Electrical Equipment, Guangzhou National Energy & Communications Technologies, Gentec, Dae Young, Earth Products China, etc.
Visitors can find other well-known brands such as 3M, ABB, Hyosung,Chint, Schniewindt, Japan AE Power, Roechling, Hitachi, Toshiba,Ormazabal, Wacker, Areva, Rittal, KGE and Daihen, etc., which have already booked large exhibition area in the fair.
The organizer also sets up several overseas pavilions from Germany, US,Korea, Finland and Russia at the fairground. It is expected that more than 20,000 professional buyers from China and abroad will attend this important and leading international trade event for electric power industry.
